Ritual antiestrés en casa

At-home anti-stress ritual

An anti-stress ritual is a short sequence of mindful gestures that you repeat to signal to your body and mind that it’s time to slow down. You don’t need a free hour or a home spa: with 15 minutes, a quiet space and five simple steps (setting the mood, breathing, stretching, caring for your skin and massaging your scalp), you can truly switch off.

Day-to-day life carries us from one task to the next without a break. Tension builds up in our shoulders, our jaw and our skin. That’s why, at our centre, we insist on something we apply in every treatment: wellbeing begins when you set aside a moment just for yourself.

Here is an easy-to-follow ritual, designed for the evening or for any moment when you need to find your calm again.

Your anti-stress ritual at a glance

  • Step 1: Prepare your calm space – 2 minutes
  • Step 2: Mindful breathing – 3 minutes
  • Step 3: Gentle neck and shoulder stretches – 3 minutes
  • Step 4: Facial beauty routine with Lumen – 3 minutes
  • Step 5: Scalp massage with Crown Essence – 4 minutes

The 5 steps of your at-home anti-stress ritual

1. Prepare your calm space (2 minutes)

The ritual begins before the very first gesture. Choose a corner of your home where no one will interrupt you and turn it into your sanctuary for a quarter of an hour.

  • Silence your phone or leave it in another room.
  • Dim the lights: a warm lamp or a candle creates a more relaxing atmosphere.
  • Add a scent that soothes you, such as lavender or jasmine.
  • Keep everything you’ll need to hand: a towel, your facial cleanser and your hair oil.

This small gesture tells your mind that what comes next is just for you.

2. Breathe mindfully (3 minutes)

Breathing is the quickest way to shift from ‘alert’ mode to ‘calm’ mode. When you lengthen your exhale, you help your body relax.

  1. Sit with your back straight or lie on your back.
  2. Place one hand on your abdomen.
  3. Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, feeling your belly rise.
  4. Breathe out slowly through your mouth for 6 seconds.
  5. Repeat for three minutes, without forcing it.

If your mind drifts to your to-do list, don’t worry: simply bring your focus back to the air flowing in and out.

3. Release tension with gentle stretches (3 minutes)

The neck, shoulders and jaw are where stress builds up the most. A few slow movements are enough to loosen them.

  • Neck: tilt your head towards one shoulder, hold for 20 seconds and switch sides.
  • Shoulders: lift them towards your ears as you breathe in and let them drop as you breathe out. Repeat 5 times.
  • Rolls: draw wide circles with your shoulders, forwards and backwards.
  • Jaw: slowly open and close your mouth and massage the area just in front of your ears with your fingertips.

Always move without pain. The aim is to let go, not to push yourself.

4. Facial beauty routine: mindful cleansing with Lumen (3 minutes)

Washing your face can be a chore… or one of the most enjoyable moments of the day. Turning this gesture into a ritual is the essence of Mindful Cosmetics, the philosophy behind LUMEN, the illuminating facial cleanser with a delicate jasmine scent created by Afef Dammak.

How to include it in your anti-stress ritual:

  1. Dampen your face with lukewarm water.
  2. Apply a small amount of Lumen to your hands and bring the jasmine scent up to your nose. Breathe deeply.
  3. Massage your face and neck with slow circular movements, working from the centre outwards and avoiding the eye area.
  4. Rinse with cold water and pat dry gently.

Its formula cleanses without leaving skin feeling tight, thanks to ingredients such as niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, organic aloe vera and Centella asiatica, which soothe the skin and strengthen its natural barrier. The result: fresh, soft, radiant skin, ready for the rest of your routine.

Tip: you can use Lumen morning and night as the first step in your skincare routine.

5. Relaxing scalp massage with Crown Essence (4 minutes)

Your scalp holds far more tension than you might imagine. A slow head massage is one of the most relaxing treats you can give yourself, and if you use a strengthening oil, you’ll care for your hair at the same time.

For this step, we recommend Crown Essence, our vegan hair oil with castor, argan, avocado and prickly pear seed oils, plus essential oils of rosemary, lavender, ylang-ylang and jasmine.

Step by step:

  1. Apply 2 or 3 droppers directly to your scalp, section by section.
  2. Using your fingertips (not your nails), make small circles from the nape of your neck towards your forehead.
  3. Gently press your temples and the base of your skull, where tension tends to gather.
  4. Finish by sliding your fingers from your forehead backwards, as if combing your hair.

Spend 3 to 5 minutes on the massage. Then leave the oil on for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for an intensive treatment, and wash it out with your usual shampoo. That’s why this step fits so well at the end of the day: you go to sleep relaxed while the oil nourishes, revitalises your scalp and adds shine and softness.

Repeat the massage 2 or 3 times a week.

Frequently asked questions about the anti-stress ritual

How much time do I need for an anti-stress ritual?

15 minutes is enough. What matters isn’t how long it lasts, but doing it regularly and without interruptions.

What’s the best time of day to do it?

Evening is ideal: it helps you wind down at the end of the day and lets the hair oil work while you sleep. You can also do a shorter version in the morning, with the breathing and facial cleansing.

How often should I repeat it?

You can do the breathing, stretches and facial cleansing every day. The scalp massage with oil, 2 or 3 times a week.

Can I do the scalp massage if I have oily hair?

Yes. Apply the oil to your scalp only, leave it on for at least 30 minutes and wash it out thoroughly with shampoo. If you have any questions about your scalp, get in touch and we’ll advise you.

Can an at-home ritual replace a professional massage?

No, they complement each other. The ritual helps you manage stress every day; a professional massage works deep into muscle tension and adapts to what your body needs.
